Kendra O’Keefe

Kendra O’Keefe has been a transformative force in the Oil and Gas industry for over 20 years. Her extensive experience spans various roles, including completions, production, planning, business development, and reserves, across most of the major shale plays in the US. O’Keefe’s passion for data, technology, process improvement, and problem-solving, combined with her diverse experience across multiple disciplines, has uniquely positioned her to successfully implement technology in a rapidly changing landscape.

Eight years ago, O’Keefe was tasked with building SM Energy’s Advanced Analytics and Emerging Technology team. Today, she leads a multidisciplinary team of over 30 professionals, including engineers, geoscientists, data scientists, computer scientists, and financial experts. O’Keefe collaborates closely with the leadership team to steer the implementation of technology, helping the company achieve its strategic goals. Her leadership and vision continue to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.
