Sachin Sakhalkar

Dr. Sachin Sakhalkar, a well rounded, global C-suite executive and board advisor,  has 25+ years of experience in the specialty materials, chemicals, packaging, recycling, industrial and personal care industries, and a strong record of delivering operational excellence, deal creation, strategic/profitable growth, turnarounds & transformations, new platform creation and scientific out-of-the-box approaches. He led up to ~1K+ employees and P&Ls of $500M and led the global specialty businesses for Teknor Apex Company. Dr. Sakhalkar’s expertise includes strong corporate governance & strategy, M&A activities, venture investing & clienting; strategic innovation & business development; digitalization; cultural integration and leadership development. A strong industry influencer, he is enthusiastic about connecting the dots to increase future enterprise value and create enhanced efficiency for stakeholders.

At Teknor Apex Company, Dr. Sakhalkar has held several leadership roles as General Manager in its Thermoplastic Elastomers Division and Engineering Plastics division, and as Senior Vice President of its Engineered Materials Value Chain. Over his tenure, he has delivered a 6X/300MM+ revenue growth, and over 10x EBIT growth. As part of the executive team, he oversaw crisis management during Covid & led a business turnaround to regain profitable growth. As Strategy head, he also facilitated a corporate realignment for long-term growth. He currently serves as Senior Vice President, New Ventures & Innovation with the mandate of revitalizing & future-proofing the enterprise and creating ‘businesses of the future’ for the long-term sustainability of the company.

Dr. Sakhalkar has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Clemson University, an MBA from the University of Maryland, and a B.S. in Chemical Eng. from UDCT, Mumbai, India.
